About the Position

We have a current opening for a Surveying Summer Intern to work closely with our team.  In this unique position you’ll have the opportunity to see how survey crews operate and will work on some rather complex projects.  This is a tremendous opportunity for civil engineering or surveying students to have a hands-on learning experience poised to enhance your studies. You’ll build a solid understanding of the art of Land Surveying through hands-on work experience; a skill essential for any Civil Engineering professional!  

You will primarily be working in the field under the leadership of our survey crew chiefs operating survey and utility locating equipment and you may operate trucks and/or ATV’s as directed by the Crew Chief on your project.  As you progress through this 12 week program, you may have the opportunity to work with software such as Trimble GPS survey equipment, AutoCAD, and more.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a similar field at a college or university
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Willingness to learn on the job
  • Strong attention to detail and thorough follow-through skills.
