Nancy Kolinski, PE

Project Manager | Municipal Department

Ms. Kolinski is a Wayne State University alum with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering and a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan. Nancy has more than 25 years of experience in land development and municipal engineering including site planning, design of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main.

As a Project Manager for the Municipal Engineering Services Group, she is responsible for the day to day client communication required for complex and varied projects. She has hands on experience working as a liaison for many municipalities as well as reviewing site plans, grading plans, foundation certificates, and final as-built grading plans for residential and commercial clients.

Ms. Kolinski’s experience includes multiple years of pavement, sewer design, pedestrian pathways, meeting the ever-changing ADA standards, while finding a balance between client needs and resident satisfaction. She is also familiar of MDOT requirements and regulations and has managed numerous contracts for federal, state and local construction projects.

In her free time Nancy spends time with her family and her dog, Willow, a feisty German Short Hair pointer, listen to music, golfing, and partakes in her children’s athletics events.  Nancy is active in the American Public Works Association (APWA).  She is the volunteer coordinator for the state chapter, member of the Great Lake Expo planning committee and helps plan the golf outing for the Detroit Metro Branch.
